MassDel Technology, a freight platform which facilitated bookings between shippers that needed to transport goods and carriers, was launched in Addis Ababa. According to MassDel Digital Technology’s Manager Tewabe Yilak, the technology implements a software which automatically connects shippers and carriers.
Ethiopian Electric Power announced the successful installation of a massive rotor, as well as a stator, on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The installation is part of the two early generation units with a capacity of 375MW power generation each.
Mastercard and EthSwitch have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the adoption and usage of digital payment systems of financial institutions. The agreement will enable Mastercard and EthSwitch to work together on enabling transfer of funds through a mobile phone application. Mati Mutiplex Cinema disclosed it intends to expand and open branches across major state cities in Ethiopia. New cinema branches are going to be opened in Adama, Hawassa, Dire Dawa and Gonder. This is in addition to the Mekele and Bahir Dar branches which the Mati Multiplex is currently operating.
