Add a comment Add a commentEthiopia extended an offer for Israeli investors to take part in the second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP II) period, which will see the construction of 2.4 million new apartments. Out of the 2.4 million, 900,000 of them are planned to be constructed in the capital city, Addis Ababa. The government also plans to build 8 new industrial parks within the five years.

Add a comment Add a commentQatari delegation team of investors led by Former Prime Minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, paid visit to Ethiopia and met with Ethiopia’s Premier, Hailemariam Desalegn.
During their meeting, Ethiopia’s Premier extended an offer for the investors to invest in Ethiopia. “Ethiopia wants Qatari investors to engage in a number of investment sectors. We have plenty and huge investment potentials,” Hailemariam said.

The project aims to engage the youth in manufacturing, mechanized agriculture, construction, and mining. In order to achieve this, 200 tractors, 1,400 water pumps and 101 crushers have been prepared.

While presenting to the House of Peoples’ Representative, Motuma Mekassa, Minister for Water, Irrigation and Electricity, said “the Ethiopian Electric Service in general has collected a total of 2.6 billion birr in eight months, achieving 82 per cent of its target.”
