The Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority announced tax payers in Ethiopia woul be able to make their payment online starting from the next budget year.

Commenting on the development Ephrem Mekonnen, Director of Education and Communications at the Authority, said the system would save time as well as money of taxpayers. It would also help avoid overcrowding witnessed at the end of every month, he furthered.

The system will be launched once it is tested on higher tax payers, Ephrem added.

Once the system gets in full gear taxpayers will be able to pay online via internet.
