Bunna Bank announced that it was preparing to build a new headquarters in Addis Ababa. This was announced during the bank’s 13th general meeting which was held on Sunday.

Ethiopian Ambassador to Japan, Tefera Derbew, called Japanese investors to invest in Ethiopia. Representatives of 13 Japanese companies were briefed about investment opportunities in Ethiopia, the level of infrastructure and business climate in the country, and incentives available for foreign investors during an investment seminar which was organized by Ethiopian Embassy in Japan.

Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) revealed that it had collected Birr 743.1 million in net profit during the first quarter of the current fiscal year achieving 87% of its plan. The bank’s total revenue reached Birr 2.03 billion during the same period.

Unity Parking Lot which has a capacity of accommodating a total of 1,020 vehicles at a time, was inaugurated on Monday by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The parking lot is situated on 1.2 hectares of land and connected with Unity Park through an underground tunnel which is 105 meters long.
Add a comment Add a commentEthiopian Coffee and Tea Authority announced that Ethiopia was able to collect USD 526 million from coffee export during the first four months of the 2022/2023 fiscal year. The revenue surpasses last year’s gain from coffee during the same period by USD 126 million. According to the Authority, Germany is the largest importer of Ethiopian coffee followed by the United States and Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Revenues (MoR) and National ID Program reached a deal to link tax identification numbers with national IDs. During the signing ceremony, Aynalem Nigussie, Minister of Ministry of Revenue, stated that the agreement would enable her office to save the foreign exchange that it used to purchase systems for the issuance of tax identification numbers. According to the Minister, the agreement would also help in facilitating the tax identification issuance process at the Ministry.
The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprises (ESLSE) and AD Ports Group, an Abu Dhabi based company which provides transportation and logistics services, reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding to work together in shipping and transportation services including land transport, free trade zone, cold storage, port and terminal, and feeder services.
The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) signed an agreement with three companies which will enter Hawassa, Adama, and Kilinto Industrial Parks. The companies named Long March Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, NK World Medical Equipment Manufacturing, and Warka Trading, will be investing Birr 486 million in textile and pharmaceutical sectors.
