Unity Parking Lot which has a capacity of accommodating a total of 1,020 vehicles at a time, was inaugurated on Monday by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The parking lot is situated on 1.2 hectares of land and connected with Unity Park through an underground tunnel which is 105 meters long.

Modern facilities have been installed in the parking lot such as vehicle elevators and modern registration, payment, and security systems. Cars are monitored by more than 200 cameras which are installed for a single parking space and can identify car plate numbers and vehicle owners.

The parking lot includes theatres, traditional restaurants, and shops. It will provide free service for one week starting from its inauguration date.
