The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprises (ESLSE) and AD Ports Group, an Abu Dhabi based company which provides transportation and logistics services, reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding to work together in shipping and transportation services including land transport, free trade zone, cold storage, port and terminal, and feeder services.

AD Ports Group is owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi and provides feeder, logistics, and transport services in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. It also has its own economic cities and free trade zones.

ESLSE was created in 2011 as a result of a merger between three public enterprises named Ethiopian Shipping Lines Share Company, Ethiopian Maritime and Transit Enterprise, and Dry Port Enterprise. It managed to transport 7.2 million tons of dry cargo during the 2021/2022 fiscal year.
