The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange is in the process of trading minerals and industrial products after securing the necessary approval. It has also inked a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Mines on minerals and mineral products.

The bank will avail Birr 30 billion for approval and Birr 24 billion for disbursement that will be allocated to private investments which are involved in agriculture and industry and small and medium enterprises.

Ethiopian Railways Corporation (ERC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding With Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railways S.C. (EDR) to work together on railway sector development, railways resource management, and commerce. The agreement is expected to enhance the railway sector.
EDR was established in 2017 with an initial capital of USD 500 million based on the bilateral investment agreement between Ethiopia and Djibouti which was signed in December 2016.

Terminal I of Bole International Airport, which was built by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), has become operational. The terminal is situated on 16,689 square meters of land and is part of Ethiopian Airlines’ expansion project.

The Federal Land Bank and Development Corporation inked an agreement with Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) with a view to collaborating on developmental projects. The two parties will also work together to attract investment to Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Standards Institute disclosed that it had approved 1,035 standards which were said to have significant impact on economic development, trade facilitation, and environmental protection. The 1,035 standards are composed of 200 new, 203 revised, and 634 reaffirmed standards.
