Ethiopia and Djibouti agreed to revise the prices of agricultural products, mainly fruits and vegetables. The two countries reached an agreement to readjust the prices of the products after forty years in a joint technical committee meeting held between January 15 and 16.

Pakistan’s Arif Habib Group showed interest to invest in cement, fertilizer, and steel manufacturing in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Investment Commission’s (EIC) Commissioner Lelise Nemie met with the CEO of the Group Muhammad Kashif and Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E Jamal Baker yesterday.

Twenty-one hotels in Oromia Regional State were awarded five to one star during the past five months. Oromia Culture and Tourism Bureau collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism to designate the stars to the hotels. In the past, stars were awarded to the hotels in the Regional State by the Federal Government. The Bureau awarded the stars after examining 31 hotels.

A company that assembles electric cars will begin operation in Debre Birhan after three months. The car assembly company, which is owned by Belayneh Kinde, will assemble one thousand cars annually once it becomes fully operational. It is also expected to create employment opportunities for 500 individuals.
