Ethiopia, U.S. Ink $230Mn Development Partnership Agreement

The United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Federal Ministry of Finance signed a new development partnership agreement with Ethiopia this week worth more than $230 million. Admasu Nebebe, Ethiopia's State Minister of Finance, and Sean Jones, USAID Mission Director, inked the development partnership agreement.

Ethiopia, Djibouti Agree to Keep Logistics Undeterred while Preventing COVID-19

Ethiopian cargo ship at Port of DjiboutiEthiopia and Djibouti have agreed to keep logistics between them undeterred while combating COVID-19, the Ethiopian Ministry of Transport stated. The two countries reached the consensus after Awel Wegris, Ethiopia’s State Minister of Transport and his colleagues, and Djibouti’s government officials held an in-depth virtual meeting.

Over 200,000 New Jobs Created in Ethiopia's Capital in Nine Months, Bureau Says

The Job Creation and Enterprises Development Bureau of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital, announced that it has created job opportunities for 205,477 citizens within the past nine months. Abiot Tadesse, Director of the Bureau, said 167,138 of the new jobs created were for the youth. Again of the total figure, 97,079 were for women and 21,342 were for college graduates.
