Ethiopia's Awash International Bank (AIB) has purchased 100 Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) and 400 Point of Sale (POS) terminals, Capital reported.
The Lebanese company, Computer Business Machine (CBM), will supply the ATMs and the POS terminals will be supplied by S2M, a Moroccan company.
Awash Melkasa Aluminum Sulphate & Sulfuric Acid S.C. is to commence production of hydrogen peroxide in June 2015 with an investment of Birr 234 million, according to Addis Fortune.
Awash Winery aims to infiltrate the international market as the company is speeding up its expansion project to improve its capacity. The expansion work was begun in late 2014 and it now has reached one third completion. Upon conclusion of the expansion work, Awash will have a production capacity of 7 to 10 million liters a year.
Ethiopian Railways Corporation reported that the Awash-Kombolcha-Hara-Woldia underground railway construction was at 93%.
