Ethiopia: Bale Robe Airport Commences Operation
The Bale Robe airport which was constructed at a cost of Birr 500 million was inaugurated yesterday. Ethiopian Airlines has started 3 times weekly services- Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Bale Robe airport has a 3 km length and 400 meter runway width and can accommodate different types of passengers and cargo planes, including Boeing 737.
Ethiopian Airports Enterprise oversaw the construction of the Robe airport which is also known as Goba-Robe airport because Goba and Robe are located in proximity to each other, towns in Bale Zone, Oromia Region.
