The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that Ethiopia’s tractor plowing rate has risen from 5.7% in 2020 to 25%, marking a development in agricultural mechanization.
Ethiopia has seen a rise in coffee export despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Ethiopian Coffee Exporters Association disclosed. In the past nine months, Ethiopia has collected some $561 million from its export of Coffee Arabica.

Ethiopia attracted USD 3 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. This figure is expected to put the Ethiopian Investment Commission on track to meet its annual target of USD 3.5 billion. Although contributions come from diverse sources, China remains the leading investor, responsible for nearly half of all incoming projects.
Ethiopia has earned US$663.7 million from tourists who visited tourists sites across the country during the just ended Ethiopian fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Speaking at the opening of a consultative meeting in Robe Town, Bale Zone of Oromia Region on Monday, State Minister Tadelech Dalecho said the revenue was secured from more than 629,000 foreigners, who visited historical, natural and religious attractions in the country.
