Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing airline in Africa, is pleased to announce that it will extend its wings to Singapore as of 3 December 2013 with scheduled three weekly flights.

The new flights to Singapore will be operated with Ethiopian Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 24 seats in Ethiopian Cloud Nine Business Class and 211 seats in Economy class.

The Ethiopian Standards Agency expressed its concern that few of its 121 mandatory standards are observed. Last Wednesday, Legesse Gabrie, director of the Standards Preparation Directorate of the Agency, told journalists that many companies are not complying with labeling and marking requirements of the Agency. Many of them are advertising irresponsibly, disregarding both voluntary and mandatory labeling and marking  standards of the country.

Ethiopian Standards Institute disclosed that it had approved 1,035 standards which were said to have significant impact on economic development, trade facilitation, and environmental protection. The 1,035 standards are composed of 200 new, 203 revised, and 634 reaffirmed standards.

Ethiopian Express, the Domestic Strategic Business Unit of the Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Group is pleased to announce that it is ready to stretch its wings with 4 weekly flight services to Hawassa with the Q-400 aircraft as of 16 April 2016.

The flight to Hawassa, which will become the 20th domestic destination, is scheduled to be on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
