Ethiopian Ships to Be Deployed on New Routes
The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise is undertaking a study on potential new routes to deploy its new ships.
The enterprise decided to service more destinations after taking charge of nine new vessels it had on order in China, said Alemu Ambaye, Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief Executive of the ELSE. The nine ships are one multipurpose cargo and oil tanker vessel from the total of its nine vessels, two tankers and seven multipurpose cargo vessels he said.
The carrier is currently focusing on routes to Asia using arrangements with other shipping lines to serve import and export business in other parts of the world.

Ethiopian small and medium enterprises engaged in coffee, leather products, and handicraft export participated in the Arab International SMEs Conference and Expo (SMEX Algeria) which took place in Algiers between November 12 and 14. Fairs and Exports, an Algerian company, and the Arab Union for Industrial Exports Development organized the event which was themed “The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Challenges and Opportunities for SMEs”.
Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing airline in Africa is launching the much anticipated new service to Manila, in the Philippines from July 09, 2015. Ethiopian will be offering the service thrice weekly to Manila.
