Ethiopian National Accreditation Office (ENAO) announced that it aimed to create a uniform system of accreditation across Ethiopia. The office encourages service seekers to benefit from its specific services such as laboratory testing, calibration, certification and inspection.

Ethiopia’s flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, will take delivery of Airbus A350-900 jetliner by May 2016, for the company’s 70th anniversary celebration.

Ethiopia’s flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, announced it had begun to send its technicians to other African countries.

According to Zemen Nega, Managing Director of the Airlines’ maintenance, repair and overhaul center, the technicians will be sent to Malawi, Rwanda, Cameroon and other African countries.

In the aim of expanding the implementation of public-private partnerships (PPP), Ethiopia’s government is drafting a legal as well as policy framework.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism conducted rating for hotels in Tigray Region, Northern Ethiopia. Gezahegn Abate, Public and International Relations Director at the Ministry, explained 8 out of 34 hotels were rated by the Ministry.

10 hotels were ineligible for the rating since they had problems regarding their license, Gezahegn explained.

Construction of 4 tunnels which are part of Meqele-Woldeya-Hara Gebeyehu railway line commenced, Ethiopian Railways Corporation (ERC) noted. Upon completion the railway line will have 8 tunnels.
