Addis Ababa, 19 June (WIC) – The Ethiopian Roads Authority says it has constructed 57 thousand kilometers of roads in the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) period showing about 98 percent achievement.
Ethiopian Roads Authority said the number of local road contractors has increased in the last five years of GTP I period.
Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) concluded contracts with 3 different local companies for the construction and upgrade 3 roads at an outlay of 2.7 billion Birr. The companies that signed the agreement with ERA Afro Tsion Construction PLC, Rama Construction PLC and Orchid Business Group.
Ethiopia Roads Authority concluded agreements worth a total of 2.8 billion Birr with 4 different companies for projects found in 4 different states. 3 of the parties to the contracts are local firms while 1 is a foreign firm.
Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) concluded agreement worth 59 billion Birr for the construction of 58 road projects.
