Close to 44,000 local and foreign tourists during the past six months have visited Lalibela churches found in the Amhara Regional State of Ethiopia, according to Lalibela City Officials.
CNET Software Technologies PLC, an IT firm based in Ethiopia, is going to build an ICT center in the Ethio – ICT Village (ICT Park) in Bole Lemi Industrial Park. The center is estimated to cost 480 million Birr and it will be constructed over 8000 square meters of land in the industrial park. The scheduled period for the completion of the construction is 8 months, according to The Reporter.
Coca-Cola launched its fifth factory which was constructed with USD 100 million in Sebeta town, 19 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The factory has a capacity of producing 100 million bottles of beverage per year.
The inaugural ceremony saw the participation of Government officials including the Chief Administrator of Oromia Region, Shimels Abdisa and Industry Minister, Melaku Alebel.
Ethiopian Airlines and Austria Airlines concluded a codeshare partnership agreement effective since Monday, June 2, 2014, Walta Information Center reported.
Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority announced that Ethiopia was able to collect USD 526 million from coffee export during the first four months of the 2022/2023 fiscal year. The revenue surpasses last year’s gain from coffee during the same period by USD 126 million. According to the Authority, Germany is the largest importer of Ethiopian coffee followed by the United States and Saudi Arabia.
