Ethiopia: Addis to Host AU’s Small and Medium Enterprises’ Annual Forum

Lelise Neme, Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment Commission, and Moroccan Ambassador, Nesha Aloui, recently held a meeting to discuss strategies for enhancing investment opportunities across various sectors in Ethiopia.

The next "India-Africa ICT Expo" set to take place in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia on August 9–10, 2023, was discussed during a meeting between the Director General of Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) and the Ethiopian Ambassador to India, Demeke Atnafu.

One Africa Expo, a high-level Business-to-Business expo, is set to be held for the first time between the 20th to the 30th of May this year at the Ethiopian Museum of Art and Science Center, Addis Ababa.
African Statisticians are in Addis Ababa for the sixth statistical commission for Africa (statcom-Africa-VI). The four-day long symposium, which was started on Monday, is being attended by Statistics bureau heads, representatives of national mapping agencies, NGOs and research institutes.
Oliver Chinganya, Africa Center for Statistics (ACS) Director at ECA, said the symposium was very critical for African statisticians and the whole continent and noted that reliable statistical data was very critical for policy decisions. He said, “The discussion with group of people that produce data which is used for policy decisions in their country is very critical.”
