Semereta Sewasew, Ethiopia's State Minister of Finance and Ben Depraetere, Chairperson of the Board of EUBFE (European Union Business Forum in Ethiopia) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the launch of the Business Climate Report – 2021 event that was held on April 6, 2022, at Hayat Regency Hotel, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The MoU is said to foster cooperation between Ethiopia's Ministry of Finance and the private sector, and create mechanisms to disseminate best practices and facilitate close consultation to promote mutually beneficial objectives and collaboration between the two parties.
The government of Ethiopia and France on Thursday signed two loan agreements amounting to 70 million Euros to support construction of high-voltage transmission lines and sanitary landfill, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
Ethiopia's delegation, comprised of President Sahle-Work Zewde and Finance Minister Ahmed Shide, has taken part in the Paris summit on the financing of African economies in response to the pandemic. The Ethiopian delegation has also met and discussed with various officials and groups regarding economic cooperation, development, and investment.
Ethiopia and France yesterday signed two grant agreements totaling €20 million. The grants are for the renovation of the National Palace, and to support a program of the Agricultural Transformation Agency.
