Ethiopia is going to build 11 new universities in the next growth and transformation plan period, aka GTP II, which is set to start in the coming fiscal year. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Education.
The Council of Ministers has endorsed on October 23, 2015, the establishment of 11 new universities in Ethiopia by the end of GTP II, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
Ethiopian Electric Power said Ethiopia plans to build 71 power projects over the next ten years, at a cost of over $40 billion. Out of the 71 projects, 16 are hydropower, 24 wind, 17 steam, and 14 solar.
The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority disclosed plans to build a coffee park at a cost of $50 million. The park, the authority said, will play an important role in promoting Ethiopia's coffee to the global community.
