Ethiopia to Build a $50 Mn Coffee Park

The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority disclosed plans to build a coffee park at a cost of $50 million. The park, the authority said, will play an important role in promoting Ethiopia's coffee to the global community.

Hyiru Nuru, market information and control director at the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, said Ethiopia and South Korea will join to build the park, which will rest on 30 hectares of land in Addis Ababa. Among other things, the park will have a coffee museum and coffee market center. Mr. Hiruy said the construction of the park will be completed in three years.

It is to be recalled that the Authority announced an effort to develop an umbrella national coffee brand for Ethiopia.
