Ethiopia has secured USD 110 million in financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the third phase of the Rural Financial Intermediation Program (RUFIP III), aimed at expanding access to finance in rural areas and advancing agricultural transformation.
Ethiopia attracted USD 2 billion foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first half of the current fiscal year. The figure shows an increment of 22.3% when compared to the first six months of the 2021/2022 fiscal year.
More than 900,000 international tourists visited Ethiopia in the last fiscal year, generating USD 2 billion in revenue for the tourism sector.
Ethiopia earned USD 2 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year by attracting 504,840 foreign tourists. During the six months, in addition to tourists who came to explore the country, foreign tourism was also seen in international conferences and business visits.
Ministry of Industry said Ethiopia has secured USD 306,429,000 in revenue from exported manufacturing products in the last nine months, Walta Information Center (WIC) reported.
