Ethiopia's Minister of Revenues has collected 196.7 billion birr in seven months, the Minister said. The amount stands at 92.45 percent of the target set for the period.

Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance has finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Official Creditor Committee (OCC), formalizing a debt treatment agreement first reached in principle in March 2025. The deal grants Ethiopia over USD 3.5 billion in debt relief, marking a step toward restoring long-term public debt sustainability after years of negotiations.

The Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD) announced that Ethiopia secured Birr 180 billion in revenue and attracted USD 890 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first quarter of the fiscal year.

Ethiopia has reached an Agreement in Principle (AIP) with its Official Creditor Committee (OCC) on the key financial parameters of a debt treatment plan under the G20 Common Framework, covering approximately USD 8.4 billion in outstanding public debt.
