Ethiopia International Mining Conference is scheduled to be held in Addis Ababa at the Millennium Hall from June 18 – 20, 2016. The event is said to be organized by Ethio Mining International Expo.
The Minister of Communication and Information Technology in Ethiopia has successfully introduced unified utility billing system. The Ministry has completed 79 per cent of client registration within a month for inclusion in the new billing system. The billing system is aimed at improving utilities billing systems in Ethiopia.
According to Debretsion Gebremichael, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, the confusion and long queues created in the initial stage of the system a month ago has now been cleared and solved.

Ethiopia today unveiled new Birr notes for 10, 50, and 100 denominations, with the introduction of a new Birr 200 note, Prime Minister Abiy announced in a tweet. The new notes will curb the financing of illegal activities, and also help prevent corruption and contraband, PM Abiy added. The 5 birr note, however, remains unchanged.The Investment Agency in Ethiopia is investigating the operations of Alliance Media to evaluated if it operating as per its

The agency is assessing if the South African company is manufacturing billboard panels as per its license said Tewodros Tamiru, Director of the Legal Directorate with the EIA.
Allegations have been rife that Alliance is engaged in advertising activities by renting the panels it has erected across the city for advertisement purposes, a sector reserved for Ethiopian nationals.
