The Ministry of Transport, Ethiopia is increasing the number of custom warehouses for use in multi-modal transport across the country.

The National Bank of Ethiopia authorized banks to open letters of credit for their clients to ship to the new warehouses operated by the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority, according to a letter circulated by the bank.

The letter sent out from the central bank indicated that 10 new warehouses in various parts of the country have set up to facilitate the multi-modal transport system.

The Ethiopian statistics agency announced that the annual inflation rate fell to 40.1% in September. This is a decrease from the 40.6% inflation recorded last month according to the statement by the agency.

The year on year inflation rate fell due to the drop in the prices of fruits and vegetables. The price index of fruits and vegetables decreased by 3.4% explained the report.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Mines and Petroleum signed a joint study agreement that will enable it to build a gas processing plant in Ethiopia. The agreement has been signed with the US-based company GreenCom Technologies.

Ethiopia intends to export value added meat products in ten years to come, Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported.

The Ethiopia International Mining Conference and Exhibition 2015 (EIMC 2015) is to be held from 23-24 September, 2015, at the United Nations Conference Center, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
