Ethiopia Earns over USD 79 Million from Minerals in Quarter Year

Ethiopia has generated a record USD 4.5 billion in revenue from export trade over the past nine months, marking the highest figure in the nation’s export history, according to Minister of Trade and Regional Development, Kassahun Gofe (PhD).
Ethiopia has earned $1 billion from coffee exports over ten months, registering a new high. Oumer Hussein, Ethiopia's Minister of Agriculture, has congratulated "coffee families" on the achievement.

Ethiopia’s Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) revealed that the country generated a record-breaking USD 1.43 billion in revenue from coffee exports during the 2023/24 fiscal year. This milestone marks the highest revenue Ethiopia has ever earned from its coffee industry.

Ethiopia earned USD 1.1 billion from coffee exports in the first 11 months of this fiscal year. Despite exporting a comparatively lower volume of coffee, the amount earned is almost the same as last year, thanks to the emphasis on exporting high-quality coffee.
