Ethiopia has earned more than 2.4 billion dollars in foreign exchange over the last 11 months meeting 82 percent of the plan, the Ministry of Trade said while presenting this year’s performance report to the Trade Affairs Standing Committee of the House of Peoples' Representatives.

Ethiopia has earned $2.52 billion from eight-month exports, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration related. The amount stands at 91 percent of the targeted $2.77 billion export earnings for the period.
Ethiopia has collected over $207 million in the Ethiopian fiscal year that ended on July 7, 2020, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum announced. Gold alone has earned Ethiopia $196.5 million, while the rest, $10.5, has been earned from gemstone and other mines.
Ethiopia earned more than 255 million US dollars from the export of manufactured goods in the just ended budget announced the Ministry of Industry.
The revenue was earned from the export of manufactured products including, leather and leather products, textile and clothing, chemical and pharmaceutical products and agro processed products according to Melaku Taye Director of the Public Relations Directorate of the ministry.
A notable portion of the revenue earned from manufactured goods was raised by Ayka Addis Textile and Investment group said Melaku.
In the past five months from June to October, Ethiopia has managed to get $28.4 million from export of electricity to Sudan and Djibouti, the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) announces. Out of the $28.4 million, $17.5 million is earned from Djibouti, while the rest, $10.9 million came from the export to Sudan.
