Ethiopia and South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding on industrial cooperation. The agreement was reached at a summit during Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi’s visit to Seoul.

South Korea will support Ethiopia’s textile and leather sectors through sharing experience and know-how said the office of President Lee Myung-bak.

The relationship between the two countries is moving along rapidly said President Lee. He expressed hope that the visit from the Ethiopian premier will enhance cooperation.

Ethiopia and South Sudan have signed a new agreement for air transportation services that will replace the temporary permission that was previously granted. The agreement was signed by the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and his counterpart from the Government of South Sudan.

The 2 Horn of Africa nations, Ethiopia and Sudan, agreed to implement cooperation projects which includes establishing economic zones and free markets among the 2 countries.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir inaugurated the electric transmission line interconnecting the two countries, Xinhua reported.

The inauguration was held on 4 November, 2013, in Geddarif State in eastern Sudan.

Federal Transport Authority (FTA) announced Ethiopia and Sudan have agreed to start public transport between the two countries in the coming 40 days.
