Two Horn of Africa countries, Ethiopia and Djibouti, signed immigration and custom treaty in the aim of accelerating Ethiop-Djibouti railway transport service which is scheduled to start giving service in the near future.
The 2 Horn of Africa countries, Ethiopia and Djibouti concluded a joint venture agreement on January 11, 2017 for the establishment of a company that will manage the newly built Ethio-Djibouti Railway. The agreement was signed in Djibouti as part of the agreement signed between the 2 countries before for the establishment of a joint company.
Ethiopia and Djibouti have agreed to upgrade the Ethio-Djibouti corridor road and expand the horizon fuel terminal. This was decided after the 2 countries ministers for transport met in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, and discussed various bilateral issues.
The two East African countries, Ethiopia and Djibouti concluded an agreement to establish a joint committee that will enhance port and custom and customs service. The aim is to quicken transportation of commodities to Ethiopia.
European Union (EU) Business Forum to Ethiopia concluded an agreement with Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) in the aim of strengthening business and investment ties between the Union and Ethiopia.
