US Lifted Flying Ban to Ethiopia

The United States Department of State said it will host the Ethiopia Partnerships Forum (EPF) from May 15 – 16, 2019 in the US. EPF is a an economic engagement platform between Ethiopia and the US, aiming to raise awareness of Ethiopia’s bold new efforts to transform its economy and create attractive business opportunities.
Penny Pritzker, US Secretary of Commerce, said her country has made plans to open a trade liaison office in the capital of Ethiopia in order to facilitate commercial ties with Ethiopia.
The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) conducted its 2019 “out of country” meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The decision to hold the meeting in Ethiopia “came after realizing that Ethiopia was among the top ten emerging tourist destinations, and tourism has been increasing significantly,” said Terry Dale, CEO of the Association.

A US-Ethiopia business dialogue forum has opened in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, at the Sheraton Addis.
