Japan and Ethiopia to Collaborate for the Development of Horticulture

Ethiopia and Japan penned an agreement to collaborate in the implementation the second phase of the Small Holder Farmers Empowerment Project which is aimed at developing horticulture in Ethiopia. The first phase of the project was implemented in Amhara and Oromia Regional States. The second phase targets Sidama and Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Regional State.
Agreement for “the Project for improvement of Axle Load Control on Truck” was signed between Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Kazuhiro Suzuki, and State Minister of Finance and Economic Development of Ethiopia, H.E. Ato Ahmed Shide, for a total amount of one hundred million Birr (USD 5 million).
