Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo said Japan is to open Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported.
The decision was disclosed when Prime Minster Abe held a discussion with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on September 26, 2015, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York.
JETRO is a government-related organization operating on the promotion of mutual trade and investment between Japan and other countries.
JETRO Addis Ababa office will be instrumental to bolster trade relations between Japan and Africa, statement of Japan’s Embassy sent to FBC notes.
