Public Procurement and Property Disposal Service (PPPDS) on behalf of the Ethiopian Grain Trade Enterprise (EGTE) has awarded two companies for the purchase of 2.4 million quintals of wheat with 1.08 billion Birr.

The moves was made in order to stabilize the market following the 15 percent devaluation of Birr against USD. The announcement was made when the Premier addressed the legislature to answer to queries raised by the MPs.
