Prana Events, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia, and Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PACCI), organized the Ethio Poultry Expo (Ethiopex) and African Livestock Exhibition and Congress (ALEC) which kicked off at Skylight Hotel on Thursday.

Ethiopex and ALEC are expected to create market linkage between participants who are actively working in the poultry and livestock rearing and animal products processing industries. According to Meeuwes Brouwer, Agricultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ethiopia, several companies from the Netherlands are keen to create market linkage with Ethiopian companies who are in the dairy sector.

More than 10 Dutch companies are taking part in the ALEC exhibition. German companies such as Big Dutchman, Caisley International, and LOHMANN BREEDERS are also present at the expo.

Ethiopex, the largest poultry expo in East Africa, will be closed on October 28, 2022. This year’s exhibition is expected to welcome more than four thousand attendees from a minimum of 20 countries.
