Ethiopia: New Directive Reduced Artisanal Miners Land Size
The Ethiopian Ministry of Mines has issued a new directive that restricts the size of land that can be acquired by artisanal miners or small scale producers to five square kilometers, according to The Reporter.

A new edible oil plant at Ethiopia's town of Debre Markos has started trial production. The plant, built at a cost of five billion birr (close to $121.7 million), hopes to ease the rise in demand for edible oil in Ethiopia.
A new enterprise that will have the mandate and responsibility to mange Ethiopian Commodity Exchange’s (ECX) warehouses is going to be established by Ministry of Trade (MoT).
