The Ethiopian Revenues & Customs Authority (ERCA) launched a training for medium taxpayers on using its electronic tax return filing system online on October 14, 2013, Fortune reported.

Currently, only large taxpayers with annual turnover of more than 27 million Ethiopian birr are using the e-filing system.

The Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) announced, it has collected 25.3 billion Ethiopian birr revenue from various income titles during the first quarter of the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year, ERTA reported.

Education and communication director with the Authority, Efrem Mekonen told the press on Saturday that the sum was obtained from domestic tax, foreign trade and lottery sales.

Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing and most profitable African airline, will take delivery of the first of its four Boeing 777-300ERs on 7 November 2013.

The B777-300ER is the largest aircraft in the airline’s fleet with 400 passengers seating capacity.
