Ethiopia has earned US$ 71.6 million from export of gold supplied by artisanal miners to the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) during the first three months of the current fiscal year, Ministry of Mines (MoM) disclosed.

1,890 kilograms of gold has been supplied by artisanal miners during the period, Challa Bonsa, public relations and communications assistant head at MoM, told Walta Information Center.

Challa said, artisanal miners has also supplied tantalum and gemstones worth US$ 550 thousand during the first three months.
