Ethiopia: Cooperative Bank of Oromia Secured 470.6 Million Birr Gross Profit
Cooperative Bank of Oromia S.C. (CBO) secured a gross profit of 470.6 Million Birr during the past budget year. This income is 78 percent higher than what the bank has earned in the budget year before that.
The World Bank (WB) disclosed there is a need to strengthen competitiveness in the Ethiopian economy by diversifying and introducing value added export commodities. According to WB, such shall be done in order to tackle the recent problems such as drop in price the export sector is facing.
Tewolde Gebremariam, Ethiopian Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is awarded a Gold medal by the company’s Board of Directors. He is awarded the medal for his efforts to make the Airline deliver sustainable quality services and profit making company.
