The Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA) revealed that it would issue a second telecommunications license by the end of 2023. The entire licensing process could take two to three months allowing the third license to be issued in either November or December 2023.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) announced that the country received USD 3.4 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) by registering 269 investment projects in 2022/23. The registered projects were in a variety of sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and information technology.

Ethiopian Airlines is set to receive eight new passenger aircraft and expand its international destinations by six in the coming months. The airline has placed orders for a total of 26 aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, with eight of them scheduled for delivery in the near future.
