Ethiopian and Japanese Companies to Form Joint Venture

Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced participants to the Ethio- Japan Agro Business Seminar have agreed to form joint venture in the areas of food and agro business.

The seminar was attended by more than 115 Japanese and Ethiopian companies engaged in agro business, flower and sesame production.

Export of Ethiopian agricultural products to the Japanese market have showed progress in the past few years, according to the Ethiopian News Agency.

Tana Communication PLC and Samsung Electronics East Africa inaugurating Samsung’s first printer assembly plant in Africa last Monday.

During the inaugural ceremony Tana’s CEO, Sium Adugna, said that in addition to creating job opportunities plant will facilitate Ethiopia’s efforts in transfer of knowledge and technology.
