Ethiopia’s lower house, House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR), ratified loan agreement made with China Export-Import Bank (EXIM Bank of China) worth 250 million USD. The loan is going to be used for finance major infrastructure construction that will be undertaken in the country.

The state owned and the largest bank in Ethiopia, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), disclosed its reserve capital has reached 320 billion Birr.
The fare rate for meter taxis in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, has been set on February 8, 2017. The fares have been set by the Addis Ababa City Transport Authority to be 10 Birr per kilometer for the four-seat taxis and 13 Birr per kilometer for the seven-seat taxis.
