Ethiopia: MoU Signed for Mesob Tower's Construction

Aiming to tackle shareholder associations’ document authentication, registration and other prolonged working procedure the Ministry of Trade has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, with Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (ECCSA), Document Authentication Office and Ethiopian Investment Agency.
The Ethiopian Ministry of Urban Development and Construction announced that its has targeted to create 1.8 million jobs in the current fiscal year.
Speaking in a meeting organized to evaluate the last year performance of the state owned Construction Design S.C, the State Minister Engineer Haile Meskel Tefera said, one million of the total job is expected to be created in the construction sector. Ongoing and new road and housing projects are helping to realize this goal, he said.
Mugher Cement Factory, one of the cement factories in Ethiopia, earned 23.5 million Birr during the first 6 months of the current fiscal year. This was a mere 31 percent achievement of the target the factory set at the beginning of the fiscal year.
