The retail prices of petroleum products in Ethiopia have been increased by up to Birr 8, according to the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration. The revised prices took effect from 12 PM. today.
Dagmawit Moges, Minister of Transport, said her office will work to minimize waiting time at dry ports from 47 days to 2 days. Dagmawit also underlined the importance of enhancing competitiveness and providing a one-stop-shop service.
In a recent announcement, Minister of Tourism Nasise Chali revealed that the existing hotel star ratings would be retired by September 2024. This move comes in response to Regulation No. 173/2010, which mandates hotels to undergo re-classification every three years.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade signed a memorandum of understanding with various federal sector offices that issue certificate of professional competence for business activities, Walta Information Center reported.
The MoU aims to ensure a coordinated working relation between the ministry and the 36 sectoral government institutions that issue professional competence certificates for commercial activities.
