MIDROC Gold PLC., an Ethiopian gold mining company, announced it will start producing gold at Sakaro, in Juji Zone of Oromia State, according to The Reporter.

MIDROC Investment Group has officially inaugurated a new filler production plant in Awash 7 town.

MIDROC Gold Plc disclosed it is going to build a second gold extraction plant at Benshangul Gumuz State with a total cost of U.S. $ 250 Million.

MIDROC Investment Group and Mariott International inked three agreements to reopen hotels in Bahir Dar and Hawassa.

The two companies agreed to reopen Tana Hotel, located in Bahir Dar, and Progress International, located in Hawassa, under the Four Points by Sheraton brand while reaching an agreement to reopen Bahir Dar’s Blue Nile (Avanti) Resort under the Pretorea Marriot brand.

The signing ceremony was attended by the CEO of MIDORC Investment Group, Mr. Jamal Ahmed, and the Deputy CEO of the Hotel and Tourism Sector Solomon Zewdu. Marriot was represented by Karim Chelot, Jugal Kushalani, and Edward Edwards.

The productions of milk and meat have registered three fold increments in the last five years of GTP period, Ministry of Agriculture said.
