The Ethiopian Investment Commission said Ethiopia has attracted 3,522 foreign direct investment projects worth 370 billion Birr in the past five years.
Ethiopia: FDI Inflow Decreased
Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) disclosed Ethiopia managed to attract a total of 1.2 billion USD by foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 6 months of the current fiscal year.According to the Commissioner for EIC, Fitsum Arega, the FDI flow shows slight reduction when compared to the same period last year.
Ethiopia: Feasibility Study Being Conducted for New Dry Port
Feasibility study is being conducted by Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Service Enterprise (ESLSE) to construct a dry port at Woreta, South Gonder, Amhara State, at an outlay of 100 million USD.
Ethiopia: Federal Auditor General and Deputy Appointed
Ethiopia’s federal legislature, House of Peoples’ Representatives, approved the appointment of Gemechu Dubiso Godana as Federal Auditor General and Gedam Mandefro Abate as his deputy. Both Gemechu and Gedam were appointed by the Prime Minister.
