Ethiopia: Ethio Telecom Launches a Cloud Computing Service
Ethio Telecom launched a cloud computing service called telecloud as part of its three years LEAD growth strategy to enhance and modernize the business transactions of its customers.
The telecom offers three types of cloud services which allow institutions to store, compile, and access various services virtually from data centers built by digital solution providers without the need to build their own data centers. These cloud services are Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Ethio Telecom announced that it had launched cloud based Omni Channel Contact Center as a Service which automated and standardized the process of receiving and responding to customer request across various communication channels such as voice, SMS, email, websites, social media, and chatbot.
Ethiopia's Ethio Telecom has announced a loyalty program it dubbed "Ashamtele". Ashamtele is said to enable Ethio Telecom's customers be rewarded for using its services.
