Latest data from the Ethiopian Investment Agency (EIA) revealed that 28 new projects in the industry sector has gone operational during the first three months of the fiscal year, Walta Information Center reported.
The 28 new industrial investment ventures have a combined capital of over two billion Ethiopian birr.

The proposed amendment, which has now reached the Council of Ministers (CoM), has been in the making for the past six months, according to Fortune.
Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) was awarded as the “best investment promotion agency in East Africa” during Annual Investment Forum (AIM) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The state-owned insurer, Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC), has collected a tally of 2.1 billion Birr from the sale of premiums in the first half of the current fiscal year. The amount is said to have exceeded last year’s same period by 234.9 million Birr or in other words 13 percent.
