Latest data from the Ethiopian Investment Agency (EIA) revealed that 28 new projects in the industry sector has gone operational during the first three months of the fiscal year, Walta Information Center reported.

The 28 new industrial investment ventures have a combined capital of over two billion Ethiopian birr.

The service sector has also seen 15 new investment projects going operational.

A total of 82 investment projects have reached project implementation phase during the first quarter.

During the first three months of the fiscal year, the Ethiopian Investment Agency has issued investment permits to 244 new projects out of which 123 are in the manufacturing sector and 43 in the hospitality industry.
