Heads of US-based companies were briefed about the investment opportunities in Ethiopia by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the United States Kassa Teklebirhan during a meeting which was organized by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. The Ambassador also discussed with the CEO of Chicago-based solar energy company, a company which is currently conducting a study on how to expand solar energy in rural areas of Ethiopia.

Kassa Tekleberhan, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the United States, and senior executives of the Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) and Boeing Company held a discussion on how to improve business and investment relationships between Ethiopia and the US, focusing on the city of Seattle and its surroundings.

Greater Seattle Partners and Boeing agreed to give the necessary support for the establishment of an Ethiopian Business Council in Seattle.
