Ethiopia has earned US$ 71.6 million from export of gold supplied by artisanal miners to the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) during the first three months of the current fiscal year, Ministry of Mines (MoM) disclosed.
Artistic Printing Enterprise, one of the public enterprises in Ethiopia, has been privatized by a joint venture formed between Feleke Trading PLC and Corporate Computer Center PLC. The joint venture is declared to have won the bid after submitting a bid price of 329 million Birr.
The Amhara Saving and Credit Enterprise said it is working to disburse over 5.8 billion Ethiopian birr loan to beneficiaries during the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year.
Ayalneh Mihiretu, Public relation head with the Enterprise, told Ethiopian News Agency on Wednesday, the Enterprise will disburse the money to over 801,350 beneficiaries.
ASCOM Mining Plc is holding talks with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Mines in order to secure a large scale gold mining license.
Following the privatization of Asella Malt to Oromia Agricultural Cooperative Federation, the new owners have signed the transfer agreement with the Ministry of Public Enterprises. The agreement was signed on April 5, 2018, between the 2 parties. And following this, the Cooperative has paid the 35 percent downpayment.
