AGY, a company that produces table salt, has announced its plans to start manufacturing table salt at Semera Industrial Park. Once AGY reaches full capacity, it is expected that it will create more than 350 job opportunities for citizens.
The Industrial Parks Development Corporation has confirmed that the company will receive 2,140 square meters of developed land in the industrial park and construct its own processing plant. The Corporation is recieving investors who are interested in investing in Semera Industrial Park.
Semera Industrial Park, which is located in the Afar region near the Port of Djibouti, covers 2,000 hectares of land and has eight production shed each with 5,500 square meters area. The sheds are mainly intended for companies which are engaged in the production of textiles, garments, and leather products. The park was inaugurated in May 2021.
